Ouachita Student Foundation to host Tiger Tunes REWIND livestream event Oct. 3

The Ouachita Student Foundation has announced that it will livestream Tiger Tunes, its annual fundraising event for student scholarships, with the theme “Tunes REWIND” on Saturday, Oct. 3. The decision to move the event to a virtual format comes in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ouachita announces students named to Spring 2020 President's List

Ouachita Baptist University has named more than 450 students to its Spring 2020 President’s List. To be named to the President’s List, a student must compile a 4.0 grade point average and be classified as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 academic hours and have no incomplete or failing grade for the semester.

Ouachita announces students named to Spring 2020 Dean's List

Ouachita Baptist University has named more than 400 students to its Spring 2020 Dean’s List. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must compile at least a 3.5 grade point average and be classified as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 academic hours and have no incomplete or failing grade for the semester.

Ouachita waiving test score requirement for fall 2021 applicants

Ouachita Baptist University is waiving its usual admissions requirements for ACT and SAT standardized test scores for the 2020-2021 recruitment cycle. This will apply to students enrolling as freshmen for the fall 2021 semester.

Ouachita Baptist University’s Division of Music will host Sharayah Wallace in her senior recital on Friday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. in McBeth Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public.

Ouachita Baptist University will hold its 132nd spring commencement on Saturday, May 11, at 9:30 a.m. on the front lawn of the university’s historic Cone-Bottoms Hall. The ceremony will honor 345 graduates earning Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education and Associate of Arts degrees.

Ouachita Baptist University will host its inaugural Innovation Summit on Monday, April 8. The summit, which focuses this year on “Sustainable Forestry and Wood Products for the Future,” will feature presentations by experts in the fields of forestry and innovative wood products, including keynote speaker Congressman Bruce Westerman.
